FAQs

What are RMT's?      RMT stands for Registered Massage Therapist - these individuals have undergone a minimum of 2200 hours of hands on education prior to formally practicing in Canada. We do not allow estheticians to perform massage here at the clinic! All massage appointments are insurance coverable performed by registered massage therapists only. The only exception can include student massage therapists who are in need of practice but perform at a highly discounted rate not coverable by insurance.

How often should I receive treatment?     This is always a common question we get for every service! How often should I come? It really is custom to your body, lifestyle, and current health which is why we recommend asking your trained professional at your first appointment. Generally speaking 3-6 weeks is a good standard guidline - this is recommended as it ensures you always improve! Why wait untill the issue or concern becomes a severe or painful problem?  After one has surpassed 8 weeks, especially pertaining to massage you no longer keep those previous treatment benefits. Self care is important to keep your body thriving!

Do we allow children in the clinic?      Although we prefer you come to your appointments alone, we absolutely understand things happen. If needed you are more than welcome to bring your child to your appointment rather than just no show up. Over the years it has been a common occurence that clients will no show without contact due to childcare falling through - we do not want to disciminate or add extra stress onto you! Children under 12 will have to join you during your treatment, but children over 12 are more than welcome to wait in reception. Any no shows without contact are subject to 100% of the treatment costs.

Do we provide reminders?      Yes! Prior to your first appointment, we will call the day prior as a courtest reminder. In your client paperwork you have the choice of phone calls, emails, and text message reminders - you can choose as many as you like! Reminders are only a courtesy and clients are responsible for all appointments they book as well as applicable cancellation or no show fees.

Are we scent free?      We are not a scent free clinic - we love the use of essential oils within the air, treatments and overall environment. Essential oils used during treatments are NOT mandatory for clients to receive! Cleaners used for surfaces and general cleaning are all natural when possible. We also do not use scent free or hypoallergenic detergent for sheets and towels. If you have any sensitivities or concerns regarding your upcoming treatment or service  please reach out to us anytime and we will do our best to accomodate!

Can I fill out my paperwork online?      Yes and no. For any services that deal with insurance such as massage therapy and acupuncture - we do not allow your first time client forms or direct billing forms to be signed electronically. You will need to manually fill these out prior to your first appoinment, we recommend arriving 5-10 minutes early to your first appointment to avoid overlapping into your scheduled time. For all other services we have electronic forms that will be sent via email prior to treatment. Electronic forms are not mandatory - paper forms will always be available with reception. All services being performed on anyone under 18 must receive guardian or parental consent at the time of first appointment.

What forms of payment are accepted?      We accept cash, debit, visa, mastercard, american express, discover, apple or google pay, as well as gift cards or vouchers. Etransfer is accepted if payment is received before you leave post treatment. We do not take payment over the phone without paperwork being signed from your first appointment. Direct billing to insurance is not guaranteed and only available for some services, please ensure you have alternate form of payments in case your insurance does leave a balance owing! Cheques are not accepted at the clinic. Balances are to be paid upon the time or completion of your appointment.

When should I arrive for my appointment?      We ask that you do not arrive more than 15 minutes prior to your appointment, to help avoid congestion within reception. If it is your first appointment it may take 5-10 minutes for first time client paperwork or set up. For anyother appointments, showing up at the time of appointment or 5 min early is perfect! We do not guarantee the chance at being taken in early for your appointment. For those 9 am appointments - the doors will NOT be unlocked until 8:45am regardless.

Do we offer reception?      Yes! We strive to offer full time reception at all times at the clinic. We take phone calls, emails and social media messages for appointments or book online through our links! In case we are busy with other clients, or stepped away from the desk if you miss us please leave a voicemail and we can contact you back as soon as possible.

Homecare?      Homecare will be provided to clients at the end of all treatments. Although not mandatory we highly recommend following your trained professionals advice on what they recommend post treatment. Each client's homecare is custom to their concerns! This can include stretching, water intake, avoiding certain products, and more.

Age restrictions?          Age restrictions differ per treatment. Massage therapy offers treatments for kids and adults of all ages (excluding medical concerning clients). Most esthetic services are not suitable for children, and will only include manicure and pedicure services custom to children under 14. For more detailed information feel free to check out each services page above!

Benefits of direct billing?      Direct billing is an added convenience to our clients! It cuts out the middle man, allowing for the business to receive direct payment for your services from the insurance provider. Although beneficial it does have some stricter guidelines. We do keep a valid credit or debit visa card on file (with reception) this is due to payment structures. We can wait up to two months to receive said payment and insurance company can cancel or decline that payment at anytime after submission. Clients are responsible for any owing balances on said treatments! Cards are only kept for emergency purposes if clients refuse to make payment upon being notified.

Online booking?      We accept online bookings for all services until 24 hours in advance. For less than 24 hour bookings, please contact the clinic directly for availability. For most accurate availability we recommend contacting us directly! Booking ahead? Online and in person bookings are limited to three months in advance for all services.
